Hi,

Does anyone know what the Spanish equivalent of Fromage Frais is or Quark, and do they sell Quorn or Tofu anywhere?

If you go to Carrefor supermarket which is basically french they do stock fromage frais, Lidl is also another good bet being German run, you get a lot of stuff the Germans like, but I must admit I haven't seen Quark. is that part of an atom?

If you PM Author Annie one of the moderators you may get better answers from a fellow vegetarian

Best regards stuart

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Stuart!  No, not come across any, apart from Tofu products which are available in all the health food shops around.  The health food shop in the market has a good selectionnd she'll try to get anything you want.  I really do miss Quorn!!!!  You can make anything with it and even non-veggies quite liked it.

Thanks guys,

I'm not a vegetarian.

My Surgeon has suggested eating stuff like this because it's very low fat, and it's less likely to aggravate my vesicula (gall bladder) which has to come out.

So almost 5 years of eating oil rich Spanish food hasn't done me any favours.

Mercadona sell "queso fresco"...we buy the 20% one, which is really nice, but they also sell a 0% fat one.
