A vote in Congress on Tuesday calls on the Government to force the electricity supply companies across the country to return to billing every two months.

The vote was proposed by the Partido Popular and called for the immediate return to the old system. It was carried by 330 of the 332 deputies present at the vote.

It comes after widespread confusion and complaints from consumers following the introduction of monthly billing, with an estimated bill every other month, at the start of this year.
