The requirements for the cedulla is that if  the  house was built years ago it must be registered as a house in the Land registry  before August 1984. The cadastral might say you have a house and you may be paying taxes but unless it was registered in the Land registry it is not worth the paper its written on. You can go to the Land registry and ask for these papers from before 1984 to see if your property was registered costs around 60-70€.It is not a problem to have Casa put on the escritura ,the notario is willing to take around 1000€ to do this but when selling need the cedulla or its an almacen,so as it is I dont think its worth paying a 1000€ .Things need sorting out urgently

I totally agree, they have sold their small pieces of land for inflated prices, bought the new vehicle, renovated their house and now we are no use to them so they would prefer to make life difficult so that we all go back to the UK. All the locals knew that what we were building was illegal houses as we were only given permission for an Almacen but told it was acceptable to build a house. If the locals had come clean and told us then there would have been no more sales.  It is not only the Mayor & officials who are guilty it is also the locals in the village, and now some of them also want rid of us.

Sorry, but this is utter crap!! So the Catalans are all saints are they?. I don't think so and they have seen/done it all before any Brit. was out there. It is the usual story ie. if it is a local mis-behaving it is not news but if it is a Brit then it is a good excuse to put the boot in.

I used to spend 8+ hours a day sat in an office looking at a computer screen or the grey dull outside and the rain running down the office windows.

Now I spend 10+ hours outside, working on things I (mostly) want to do, enjoying how bright and light it is and occasionally wishing for a drop of rain.

Would I go back to the office - not a chance!  You'd need to drag me kicking and screaming from here.
