Burning Licence

We've just had a text message from the Agents Rurals to say that burning is no longer allowed because of the increased risk of fires.  The current licence was meant to last until the 14th of June but has been rescinded.

Wish the local people would take notice.
Only this morning a neighbour had a fire, so irresponsible,
and especially with the wind gusting like mad again.

Rita, it is shockingly dangerous in this wind.  You could try phoning the Bombers and reporting an out of control fire.  If they turn up, whoever is having the fire is supposed to pay for the call out as well as risking a hefty fine.

Fairly sure Nob.

I also got a message from the Agents Rurals and understand it to mean that just today burning is prohibited.
It doesn't say anything about the licence being revoked.  You can also check it out on this website which is updated every day at 09.30

My mistake then.  I thought that as the licence says that you cannot burn when the winds are above a certain kph (can't remember off the top of my head) it wouldn't be necessary to warn people on single days.

Thanks for the link susanita.

Apart from updating the site every day at 09.30 I noted that it is also updated when they think it's pertinent.  Looks like the wind will drop from Tuesday, about time too!
