18 months ago, I bought this via ebay uk
Smart TV BOX Quad Core Android 4.2 KR3188 Google HDMI Player WIFI MINI PC MK822
It cost about £50 but boxes of a similar nature are even cheaper now - £35
It has worked perfectly all that time. It is in use daily.
PS You need a decent internet with these boxes

Sorry, if it is an android box you can download from the app store any app you want. It is better that way - you don't want apps that the manufacturer or supplier thinks you want eg social media stuff

I've seen reports that it's best to avoid the cheapest Chinese ones.
Presume you realise you can use a spare PC if you have one ?
This is a good pre-configured version of Kodi.
